You will serve as a MANAGER- Deputy for Operations in the PROGRAM AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
Duties
You will oversee day-to-day operations of the Department and work collaboratively with the Deputy Department Head and supervise selected departmental staff
employees.
You will lead Department and Center PM training events, overseeing the Center’s PM Training Academy including tracking PM training, overseeing PM Certifications, and managing/maintaining the Academy’s curriculum.
You will mentor and manage development and delivery of training curriculum to the NIWC Pacific PM community.
You will provide comprehensive training metrics to the PPM Department Head on a monthly basis and oversee the Department’s PM Training contract, which may include assignment as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for the effort.
You will Provide oversight and periodically review efforts in organization and business process improvement initiatives and periodically review efforts in

Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
NM-05:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or (NM-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing and executing budgets, drafting, establishing higher level policies and procedures; directing the technical and programmatic acquisition allocations of Department facilities; monitoring status of critical projects, overseeing implementation and execution of Center policies and lead teams and mentor subordinates.
NM-04:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or (NM-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing and executing budgets, drafting, establishing policies and procedures; directing the technical and programmatic allocations of Department facilities; monitoring status of critical projects, overseeing implementation and execution of Center policies.
