The primary purpose of this position is responsible for all aspects of digital integration. Specifically, AFSC is the Digital Depot lead to provide secure connectivity to the industrial floor, transparency, and connectivity across the Enterprise supporting proactive equipment maintenance and equipment usage data; modernizes end-to-end Business Processes.

Duties

Duty 1: Program Analyst applying Air Force depot operations, Information Technology (IT)/Operational Technology (OT) systems, and business process reengineering experience, analyzes, develops, and evaluates issues and develops recommendations to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations. DUTY 2: Assesses policy needs and develops policy and procedures governing Air Force depot operations, IT/OT systems, and business process reengineering experience. DUTY 3: Functions as a technical advisor on contract and budget activities. Plans and coordinates all phases of the acquisition, implementation, and integration. DUTY 4: Represents the organization at conferences and meetings and presents briefings. Leads and/or participates in discussions, meetings, conferences, committees or special projects.

  • Incumbent must possess analytical capability and be able to deal with persons in other disciplines such as engineering, contracting, manufacturing, and logistics, as well as with the executives in industry and officials at all levels.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes program management and providing advisory services to management. Developing and implementing polices and procedures. Improving effectiveness, resource efficiency, resource savings and impacts on efficiency for organization operations.. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of Air Force and command program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events. 2. Knowledge of the relationship of the various command entities involved in overall program planning execution of operations and evaluations. 3. Skill in designing and conducting comprehensive studies, and preparing solutions to resolve substantive problems/issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in major command program. 4. Ability to represent the agency on interagency work groups; negotiate critical issues; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and maintain good working relationship. 5. Expert knowledge of policy and planning concepts and practices across multiple IT disciplines to include laws, principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition, program, financial management and Air Force depot operations. 6. Ability to apply project management methods sufficient to manage communities of interest involved in the development and implementation of workable approaches to Air Force depot operations and Information Technology (IT)/Operational Technology (OT) systems. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
