The primary purpose of this position is to monitor, manage and enhance NASIC readiness to respond to external peacetime and wartime personnel deployments, respond to and recover from unscheduled events that interrupt normal NASIC operations, support host base contingency tasking, and coordinate NASIC participation in JCS and Numbered Air Force level exercises.

Duties

-Establishes and coordinates logistics planning procedures for NASIC participation in COCOM, JCS and Numbered Air Force level exercises. Coordinates with the NASIC Exercise Program Manager and external planners in exercise planning and maintains knowledge of exercise objectives to ensure NASIC participation is geared to satisfy those objectives. -Executes Major Command (MAJCOM) and wing-level readiness duties as required. Provides Defense Readiness Reporting System-Strategic (DRRS-S) and AEF Reporting Tool (ART) readiness program oversight to NASIC, group, squadron, and directorates. Reviews all readiness reporting and monitors for accuracy and timeliness according to Air Force policy and internal guidance. -Holds overall responsibility for the unit deployment process, providing guidance to the NASIC Squadron Commanders and Directors. Coordinates and processes deployment requirements through appropriate channels (88th ABW agencies, Air Staff, AFPC, etc.), maintaining oversight on organizational tasking and personnel selection processes. -Maintain accurate accountability of personnel to ensure a concise picture of force capabilities supporting home station and other operations or missions. Provides force accountability and in-transit visibility for the deployment of all military and civilian personnel in accordance with supported /COCOM reporting requirements. -Manages all personnel selections, briefings, and eligibility requirements on military/civilian personnel that deploy from NASIC. Provides feedback on and implements policies regarding the identification, selection, and deployment of military and civilian personnel during local exercise and real world contingency deployment locations. Conducts initial and post deployment briefings.

Qualifications

****This position is a developmental position and will be filled at the GG-07 level with promotion potential to the GG-12. The individual selected for this position may be promoted to the target level without further competition upon meeting any legal and regulatory requirements.**** This is a GG-07 target GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Entry/Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. The full performance grade for this position is a GG-12. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of the principles, concepts and methodology of military organizational readiness, gained through job experience or specialized training. Skills should permit the accomplishment of assignments related to assessing and enhancing NASIC's ability to participate in contingency operations (real world or exercise) and manage the Center's deployment program. Must have a firm knowledge of the NASIC organization and its production elements, the mission and function of the US intelligence and operational warfighting communities, and an understanding of how improved readiness can enhance NASIC's ability to support internal and external requirements. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the interrelationships of military and civilian personnel programs sufficient to properly refer management and service members for assistance and technical problem solving. 2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 4. In-depth knowledge of USAF contingency and war mobilization plan requirements, knowledge of NASIC organization wartime mobility requirements. 5. Knowledge of AFPAAS, DCAPES, MilPDS computer and Microsoft Access database functions. 6. Ability to integrate mission requirements and develop or implement planning directives to successfully accomplish the NASIC mobility mission and the ability to analyze facts, identify problems, report findings, make conclusions and recommend corrective or other appropriate action. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT'D: 1. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) or other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. 2. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. 3. The position is designated as Key. The employee must be removed from any recall status if alternatives for filling this position are not available during a war or emergency. The employee is advised that in the event of emergency or war additional duties may be required, the work week may be extended and leave may be restricted. The employee may be required to participate in test alerts and practice exercises as well as work overtime. The employee will receive training and orientation concerning participation in alerts, exercises, call back procedures and possible disciplinary action resulting from failure to comply as required. Recall during non-duty hours may be required. Employee must be able to report for duty within 2 hours after notification of recall. ??????? PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
