You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (POLICY & PLANNING) in the Information Technology and Cyber Security (ITACS) Office, Code 109, of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will assist in developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
You will analyze and evaluate data to formulate recommendations for program planning and courses of action to solve problems.
You will utilize basic knowledge of computer/IT concepts and processes to prepare reports, correspondence, presentations, and briefings.
You will work with all levels within the organization and staff from other Shipyards to achieve mutual goals.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Product Support Manager, proficiency level BASIC, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-07: In addition to experience demonstrating the four competencies below, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying Information Technology (IT) principles, concepts, and methodologies utilizing computer applications to extract data, analyze findings, and draw conclusions to assist higher level employees with the resolution of IT problems.
Your resume must demonstrate one year of experience in the federal service or private or public sector in all four of the following competencies, as defined:
1.Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Experience demonstrating this competency include: applying knowledge (such as would be acquired through a pertinent baccalaureate educational program or its equivalent in experience, training, or independent study) of basic IT principles, concepts, and methodology to carry out basic assignments, operations, or procedures.
2.Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Experience demonstrating this competency include: adhering to instructions given by supervisor, as well as supervisor (or designate) review, to ensure technical accuracy and quality of products.
3.Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Experience demonstrating this competency include: effectively communicating factual and procedural information orally and in writing.
4.Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Experience demonstrating this competency include: gathering data to assist higher graded employees with resolving issues or problems.
For the GS-05:
Basic Requirement:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
In addition to the Basic Requirement, your resume must demonstrate one year of experience in the federal service or private or public sector in all four of the following competencies, as defined:

- Successful completion of 1 full year (18 hours) of graduate level education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution; or
