You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SPECIALIST (NETWORK) in the Information Technology and Cyber Security (ITACS) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.90% will be added to the stated salary.
Duties
You will act as the lead network services technician in responsible areas of the network operation control center.
You will consult with customers to identify and specify requirements.
You will define and maintain network architecture and infrastructure.
You will participate in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies.
You will perform assignments crossing organizational and functional boundaries involving technical functions and requiring close cooperation of the developer, maintainer and users of Information Technology (IT) resources.
You will be able to effectively communicate oral and written communications guidance to management to determine the most appropriate methods for delivering information via the network infrastructure.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position has been designated as a Cyber Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) role of Network Operations Specialist proficiency level Intermediate.
- The incumbent participates in a continuous learning (CL) program as described in SECNAVINST 5239.20A and SECNAV M-5239.2.
- Failure to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and /or adverse action up to removal from federal service.
- May be required to work on rotational work weeks, including work weeks other than Monday through Friday, and on rotational shift hours.
- Incumbent may be required to work overtime or callback.
Qualifications
FOR GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying methods for evaluating and implementing Information Technology (IT) security tools and procedures and additionally able to manage computer networks and communications systems in support of shipyard operations. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
