About the Position: Serves as the U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training (USACIMT) Chief, Personnel and Logistics(G1/4). The CIMT Chief of Staff delegates to the incumbent responsibility for managing the assigned civilian/military personnel management and logistical program(s). The incumbent defines the objectives; independently carries out planning, problem-solving, and evaluation activities for assigned program area(s).

Duties

Plans and carries out short and long-range projects and studies to identify and resolve problems pertaining to various CIMT human resources (HR) program areas. Develops guidance, procedures, and standards for new and/or changing program areas. Research HR laws, policies, regulations, and reference material; analyzes information; selects appropriate approach; and recommends corrective action. Responsible for planning, organizing, work-loading and resourcing the execution of various CIMT logistics mission areas. Supervises a staff composed of technical leaders/senior specialists engaged in the administration and management of the human resources personnel and logistical programs for USACIMT. Provides advice, counsel, or instructions to employees on technical work and administrative matters. Responsible for identifying and integrating key administrative, liaison, economic and policy issues for the CG-CIMT to make resourcing program decisions impacting the entire CIMT organization.

  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) for business for up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience providing administrative program direction and HR management program areas to include workforce development, recruitment and placement and performance management; experience planning, organizing and resourcing the execution of various logistics mission areas such as: Supply, Transportation, or Maintenance; experience identifying problem areas, analyzing deviations from program goals and recommending corrective action. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipOperations SupportWorkforce Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
