About the Position: Serves as the Acquisition Workforce Specialist and advisor to the Workforce Development Branch Chief. Provides expert advice on professional education, training, development, assignments and certification within the Army Cintracting Command Civilian Force Structure.
Duties
Develop contracting training programs to ensure training requirements are meet.
Partner with internal and external training contacts to forecast acquisition workforce trends/issues.
Communicate training paths with employees
Update material to ensure latest information is represented.
Maintain training for personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
- Must be willing and able to travel away from your permanent duty station up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Providing recommendations on contracting approaches for acquisition systems, 2) Conducting employee training, AND 3) Assisting with identifying training objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
