Duties
Serves as Chief of a Project Management Branch, applying an extensive knowledge of management concepts, principles, and practices as well as a general knowledge of the methods, practices and processes of technical/engineering disciplines
As a Program Manager, responsible for military program and project coordination, upward reporting, program monitoring, assignments, execution, long-range planning, short-term and long-term workload and income projections, and work request processing.
Serves as the authoritative source for decisions and guidance dealing with compromises and changes in Project Management Plans, specifically project scope of work, schedule, acquisition plan, budget, quality and funding issues.
Represents the District as primary point of contact with military installations, Major Commands, Department of Defense customers, Federal, state and local Government agencies, Congressional interests, external organizations and higher headquarters.
Serves as second line supervisor with responsibility for the technical and administrative supervision of the branch.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Specialized Experience:
