As a Spatial Data Management Specialist, you will lead high level projects and programs and train others in the use of Spatial Data Management processes and procedures.
Location of Position: GSA, PBS, Northwest/Arctic Region, Planning Division.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
● Manages and leads others in the review and validation of CAD drawings and SDM Models in Revit for conformance with GSA National CAD Standards and the National Business Space Assignment Policy. Performs minor corrections to the drawing files using AutoCAD program and/or Autodesk Architecture and returns the deliverable product for correction.● Performs daily maintenance of the OASIS , Revit and EDMS libraries to ensure that the electronic drawing and document files are maintained in an organized and usable manner at all times and that all files are in their proper locations for use.● Prepares assignment drawings and performs updates to existing assignment drawings through the use of AutoCAD, Revit and third party add-on software.● Prepares “floor plans” for all GSA owned Federal Buildings through the use of the AutoCAD MAP and Revit program.● Uses a geographic information system (GIS) to design and capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present all types of spatial or geographical data.● Supports the Rent Bill Management (RBM) program to ensure sound financial management practices are used to effectively manage PBS resources in the areas of space assignment and billing. The Rent Bill mission is to independently verify rent bill charges are supported by source documentation and compliant with Pricing Policy; analyze the effectiveness of the PBS rent billing process; evaluate the quality of PBS’ rent bill inventory.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $116,811 for Anchorage, AK per year; $103,409 for Boise, ID per year; $111,234 for Portland, OR per year; $103,728 for Spokane, WA per year; $115,793 for Seattle and Tacoma per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
Qualifying specialized experience is defined as: data management and analysis of a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) or Spatial Data Management (SDM) software program; including assuring data is correctly assigned, classified, reported, maintained, and updated; ensures the integrity of the data and its applications with other business systems and varied software applications utilized by the organization; and conducts qualitative and quantitative studies to assess or improve the program.
