The DoDIACs mitigate new and emerging adversary threats that could degrade U.S. and allied capabilities, enable affordable new/extended military system capabilities, and develop technology surprise through science and engineering applications to military problems.
Duties
Serves as Deputy Director in Information Analysis Center Directorate.
Works with directors and staff to develop programs to provide Analysis of Scientific and Technical Information (STI) support and assistance to the DoD community.
Maintains contact with high level members (SES's, Generals and Admirals) of the Defense community, both inside and outside the government, regarding acquisition and technology issues.
Tracks STI developments in major organizations to address compatibility with DoD Information Analysis Center (IAC) programs; develops program goals and objectives.
Plans and supports IAC business/technology forums which bring stakeholders, contractors and customers together to coordinate, leverage and negotiate establishment of new IACs; reimbursable funding for specific programs.
Identifies emerging issues and concerns that require STI support.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-13 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in project management in Science and Technology programs, applying expertise in the following areas: reimbursable services and funding; contracting; procurement planning; qualitative analysis techniques; budget planning and management; reviewing and formulating policy, strategic plans, analysis, and development involving information initiatives and business processes.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
