About the Position: This position is located at the G8 Office, Manpower and Management Division at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Oversee/Conduct, with assistance of other personnel, manpower/equipment assessments. Provide technical assistance and advice to operating officials on manpower/organization management, utilization and control. Prepare and maintain Tables of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and Mobilization TDA. Implement manpower and organizational control and manpower utilization regulations, policies and procedures. Evaluate manpower, funding, hire ceilings, hire lags, pay cap, etc. Participate in mobilization planning related to force structure and prepares documentation. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Supervise activities and up to five personnel assigned to Branch, to include assignment of work within the Branch.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent of this position must qualify for and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051,
  • amending10 United States Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
  • This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
  • Members of the FM workforce will be required to participate in the Certification Program, achieve the required certification level of their position within two years of notification of their required certification level
  • and complete the requisite quantity of Continuing Education and Training (CET) every two years to sustain the achieved certification level.
