You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Naval Sea Logistics Center NSLC) of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA.
Duties
You will develop and monitor standardization of IPS planning inputs to program logistics documentation such as the Supply Support Management Plan (SSMP).
You will serve as a technical consultant to other Program professionals engaged in developing logistics, information, and automated identification technology.
You will conduct comprehensive studies using analytical and evaluative methods.
You will monitor and manage the logistics efforts of various DON and DoD organizations and/or other government agencies.
You will manage all facets of Non-Developmental Item (NDI) Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) provisioning, Performance Based Logistics (PBL).
You will provides logistics analysis of systems/equipment, ships, ships classes to assure proper logistics support is planned or in place utilizing various DoD systems.
You will develop strategies and short- and long-term plans; develops impact statements, program criteria, and evaluation criteria.
You will conduct trade-off analyses among hardware characteristics, support concepts, and support resource requirements.
You will develop a network of relationships with these experts as the key to an APSM’s success.
You will coordinate IPS efforts, processes, and responsibilities among HSC, In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Program Office/Manager, and other government agency organizations.
You will be responsible for planning, directing, redirecting, coordinating, and completing assignments as well as exercising sound judgment in establishing priorities and a work schedule.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing life-cycle logistics, directing Integrated Product Support (IPS) efforts, developing logistics policies, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure effective support for organizational programs.
