Duties
The employee will serve as an Administrative Officer for the Public Safety Communications Division. They will perform the full range of administrative officer responsibilities, to include administering the budget, financial management, human resources, and other general administrative activities consistent with programmatic objectives and NIST policies. The employee will confer with and advise management to identify and resolve administrative problems and needs and is also expected to provide guidance, advice, and information on these matters to other organizations. General administrative activities include, but are not limited to, acquisition actions, assistance awards, bankcard activities, and travel management. The employee will perform duties independently with minimal guidance and have the ability to effectively perform analysis and issue resolution.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must possess 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level (ZA-II at NIST).
Specialized experience is defined as:
- Experience coordinating administrative functions for an organization to include budget planning, financial management, human resources management, acquisitions, travel management, property management, and space management.
- Experience in researching, analyzing, or evaluating data, policies, or work processes.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
