Duties
The employee will serve as an Administrative Officer for the CHIPS Organization at NIST. The employee is expected to perform the full range of administrative officer responsibilities. Responsibilities include administering the budget, financial management, human resources, and other general administrative activities consistent with programmatic objectives and NIST policies. The employee routinely confers with and advises management to identify and resolve administrative problems and needs and is also expected to provide guidance, advice, and information on these matters to other organizations. General administrative activities include, but are not limited to, acquisition actions, assistance awards, bankcard activities, and travel management. The employee will be expected to perform duties independently with minimal guidance and can effectively perform analysis and issue resolution.

Qualifications
This position requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 (ZA-II at Nist) level. Specialized experience is defined as: experience coordinating administrative functions for an organization to include budget planning, financial management, human resources management, acquisitions, travel management, property management, and space management. Applicant must have the ability to research, analyze, or evaluate data, policies, or work processes independently without guidance from supervisor.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
