Duties
The NIST Center for Neutron Research is a world class national user facility regarded as the foremost neutron research center in the United States, serving over 2,000 research participants annually.
As a team member you will serve as an Administrative Officer for the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR). Performing the full range of administrative officer responsibilities. Responsibilities include administering the budget, financial management, human resources, and other general administrative activities consistent with programmatic objectives and NIST policies. Routinely conferring with and advises management to identify and resolve administrative problems and needs and is also expected to provide guidance, advice, and information on these matters to other organizations. General administrative activities include, but are not limited to, acquisition actions, assistance awards, bankcard activities, and travel management. Performing duties independently with minimal guidance and have the ability to effectively perform analysis and issue resolution.

Qualifications
For ZA-III
To qualify for this position, applicants must possess 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level (ZA-II at NIST).Specialized experience is defined as coordinating administrative functions for an organization such as budget planning, financial management, human resources management, acquisitions, travel management, property management, and space management. Ability to research, analyze, or evaluate data, policies, or work processes independently without guidance from supervisor.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
