Duties
You will be responsible for Information Technology (IT) analysis, clarify requirements, programming, testing, implementation, coordination, and maintenance.
You will design, develops, and modify program logic using various computer languages.
You will provide assistance to customers, sponsor, user representatives, Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs), and IT personnel regarding a wide variety of IT matters.
You will execute plans for the Quality Assurance (QA) of all programs in the assigned systems, applications or equivalent.

Qualifications
Individual Occupation Requirements:
Major study--computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field.
OR
Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques. For example, assignments would show, on the basis of general design criteria provided, experience in developing modifications to parts of a system that required significant revisions in the logic or techniques used in the original development. Accomplishments, in addition to those noted for the GS-9 level, normally involve the following, or the equivalent:
Knowledge of the customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization;
Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; and
Adaptation of guidelines or precedents to the needs of the assignment.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of of applications software/systems engineering concepts and techniques; 2) Knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, regulations, rules, standards and precedence associated with the developmental process; 3) Knowledge of the system architecture, (i.e. server and/or processing requirements, capacity management, and security procedures/guidelines); 4) Data base management principles and methodologies, including data structures, data modeling, data warehousing and transaction processing to ensure compatibility; 5) Knowledge of programming techniques, analyzing problems, and developing solutions (computer languages/databases to include but not limited to: SQL, COBOL, .NET, JAVA, Visual Basic, Microsoft Suite, HTML, C, C#, C++, SAP, JCL, Shell, SFTP, Oracle, DB2).
