Duties
Serve as the Financial Management Analyst for the Financial Management Accounting and Policy Division, U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC), G-8.
Provide oversight and direction for the planning, coordination and execution of management programs/initiatives.
Facilitate portion of the Organization Inspection Program (OIP).
Administer the Management Internal Control Program (MICP).
Direct the submission of the USARPAC Annual Statement of Assurance (ASOA).
Member of the USARPAC Audit Readiness Team.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position. Incumbent is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of Army requirements of this certification program.
- This position has a temporary duty (TDY) travel requirement up to 5% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one (1) year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with 1) assisting with audit testing for an audit opinion, 2) assisting with reviews of financial resource management processes to identify potential discrepancies , developing corrective action plans, documents, and/or monitor compliance, 3) assisting with participating with Organization Inspection Program (OIP) for G8 (Resource Management), and/or 4) assisting with coordinating, preparing, and/or writing the Command's Annual Statement of Assurance (ASOA). Must be able to demonstrate advance skills with office computer applications to include pivot table spreadsheets, database merges, create and edit forms & briefings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
