Duties
You will provide financial accounting advice and guidance covering a wide variety of financial policies, and programs as well as current and future financial system requirements.
You will provide financial management, budget services, manpower/management analysis, and program management to support USAG-Kwajalein operational and mission requirements to develop and execute funding.
You will be responsible for advising on and accomplishing a wide variety of duties involving financial management and budget processes, procedures and related to the development, execution, monitoring, updating, and reporting requirements.
You will conduct cost and trend analysis on the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) contract for USAG-Kwajalein.
You will determine and recommend funding channels, policies, and procedures for the distribution and control of funds to include formulating responsibilities with a view towards obtaining maximum effectiveness in coordination and control.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.
- Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
- This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Utilizing cost management principles to review contract proposals and expenditures against budgetary accounts. 2) Applying commands budgeting policies, processes, procedures, management controls, and regulations to issue instructions. 3) Reviewing the formulation and justification of budgets from assigned organizations/missions. Interpreting regulations, current/revised guidance, management practices and policies to apply to financial program and cost management. 4) Providing recommendations to management officials in the decision making process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
