This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the Budget Analyst for DOD appropriated programs.
Duties
As a Budget Analyst at the GS-0560-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as the Budget Analyst for DoD appropriated programs
Examination and oversight of financial management procedures and processes
Managing resource allocations by prioritizing funding requirements
Executing Security Cooperation programs via the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) platform
Exercising analytical and decision support skills for select organizational appropriated resources necessary to support the Security Cooperation mission.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Performing and managing programs related to financial management, budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting of DoD program funds
Conducting analysis of budgetary guidelines, policies, legislation, and regulations to develop recommendations for unplanned/unfunded requirements and funding adjustments
Managing Congressional notification and execution of International Security Cooperation Programs (ISCP)OR
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
