This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Financial Management Division, Office of Resource Management (FR). This position(s) primary purpose is to support the FR is responsible for managing the DEA's budget development, planning, and execution process; payroll, staffing and organizational controls, to include position control and Tables of Organization processes; and coordinating DEA's statistical research Program.

As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, your typical work assignments may include: Manages the development of yearly financial plans and the daily execution of the Financial Plan and monitors the obligations of resources. Receives, analyzes, and monitors all incoming and outgoing reimbursable agreements and multi-funding sources, to include Asset Forfeiture, Diversion Control Fee Account, and other sub-allotments. Manages the development and execution of DEA's budget relating to payroll, staffing, and FTE as well as providing program reviews and studies. Manages DEA's position control processes, Tables of Organization, DEA's statistical research program operations. Develops and implements organization communications strategy and development of a DEA-wide budget community.

You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrate your ability in: 1) Leading a team that manages the budget formulation and execution relating to payroll, staffing and position management, contracts and funds administration; 2) Establishing, revising, or reviewing budgetary policies, procedures, mission objectives to align with the organization's strategic goals; 3) Managing program execution and reports status and availability of funds in a variety of budget accounts; 4) Implementing programs and proposals involving substantial resources or changes in established procedures. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. For a GS 15 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-14.The grade may have been in any occupation but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement.
