This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business & Technical Management Career Path (Acq Demo only) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14 to 15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities
Duties
As the representative for PEO IEWS; participates in the development and execution of all international agreements for the weapon system.
Actively participates in materiel and personnel demonstrations of the system to enhance sales or co-production programs that are in the U.S. National Security interest.
Participates in the development, presentation, and justification of budget requests.
Monitors manpower requirements against changes in program complexity, scope, and deliverables and aligns resources appropriately across the IEWS International portfolio.
Conducts foreign market surveys to determine what technologies are available from allied sources that might meet program requirements.
Advises the Program Manager (PM) of the need for the export models.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level lll Advanced in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management and Business Financial Management within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). 1) Ensuring funding allocations are properly administered. 2) Providing Program Management for international programs. 3) Leading and directing geographically dispersed personnel. 4) Developing and/or administering briefings on weapons systems in the international portfolio.
