You will serve as a FACILITIES SPECIALIST in the Business Operations Management Department, Facilities Division of OCHR OPERATIONS CENTER.

Duties
You will be responsible for researching and developing solutions and recommends alternative approaches that may be more economical or practical.
You will inspects facilities to determine state of repair and requirements for immediate or long-range maintenance and coordinates and schedules for critical repairs, maintenance and custodial services.
You will be responsible for assuring that all assigned government property is accounted for and maintain property accountability records and pertinent files.
You will conduct monthly and quarterly inventories of all assigned equipment and end items listed on the Installation Property Book and the Real Property hand receipts.
You will monitor and inspect service contracts to insure adherence to requirements of the contract and makes oral and written progress reports as required to supervisor and/or higher authority.
You will formulate and enforces policy regarding standards and technical maintenance and repair policies for facilities.
You will recommend improvements in space utilization by rearranging equipment, relocating personnel, and introducing new equipment.
Requirements

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You may be required to carry loads up to 50 pounds over short distances with assistance.
Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing building operations of assigned facilities (e.g., conducting and reviewing maintenance plans, prioritizing and coordinating major maintenance activities, scheduling equipment maintenance and services); and managing an internal control program to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse to assure that property, funds and other assets are safeguarded.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing assistance or information for preparation and/or status tracking of maintenance, repair, and facilities construction and/or services; and monitoring facility contractual services (e.g., utilities, ground maintenance, system maintenance, and custodial services).

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
