The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of data mining and analysis on a range of business data sets to fulfill stakeholder goals and objectives for proper execution of services acquisitions.
Duties
Performs a variety of data mining and analysis on a range of business data sets to fulfill stakeholder goals and objectives for proper execution of services acquisitions.
Utilizes multiple systems and tools for collecting, cleaning, and interpreting data, and applies critical thinking to all stages of data analysis.
Reviews programming documentation and analyzes the impact of external actions to determine their effect on acquisition strategies.
Prepares and delivers reports, staff packages, briefings, presentations, visualizations, and other artifacts to summarize discoveries and develops recommendations to ensure Multi-Functional Teams/stakeholders arrive at data-driver decisions for future acquisitions.
Provides user assistance, training, gap mitigation, integration, policy compliance for related software and tools supporting
services, and other support as required.
Schedules vector checks and clearly articulates interpretation of data and/or trend analyses to stakeholders.
Continually studies, reviews, and evaluates program progress; establishes controls such as milestones, indicators, and reviews to reflect program status and provide early detection of emerging problems; keeps leadership informed on significant issues and program progress.
Provides feedback to customers and keeps abreast of changing environments and potential shifts in elements affecting the AFRL services portfolio.
Applies known methods, policies and procedures, best practices and lessons learned in the technical and resource planning for the assigned portfolio.
Accomplishes professional development and maintains proficiency through participation in formal technical or
functional training events.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks), or will have one year within 120 days of closing of this announcement, specialized experience equivalent to the DO-01, GS-11 or equivalent grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes using multiple systems and tools for collecting, cleaning and interpreting data; applying critical thinking to all stages of data analysis; analyzing the impact of external actions to determine their effect on acquisition strategies; and/or summarizing and developing recommendations to stakeholders.
