Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
Information Technology (IT), IT Wide, All ACIO area.
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
Knowledge of administrative concepts and practices sufficient to allow the incumbent to recognize and recommend changes in administrative policies and to devise and implement office practices and procedures that affect organizations.
Knowledge of analytical and evaluative techniques in order to perform analyses of data and information and to recommend appropriate courses of action. Knowledge of extensive operating programs and the interrelationships among such programs to perform program analysis by developing and evaluating the effectiveness of new or modified program objectives and operations of the assigned BOD and the Internal Revenue Service.
Skill in acquiring, validating, and analyzing information; drawing conclusions; developing alternatives and making recommendations.
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and reference materials sufficient to obtain and provide information. Skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with and gain confidence and cooperation of supervisors, managers, and co-workers to accept proposals on complex issues. Skill to coordinate and implement new and revised procedures.
This position has career progression. If you are selected at a grade level lower than the full working level, you may be non-competitively promoted as your career progresses. For example, you may be hired as a GS-05, but if the position has career progression to GS-11, then you may move from a GS-05 to a GS-11 in as little as three years.
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. QUALIIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for this position, you must meet the qualification requirements outlined below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-11 Level: To be minimally qualified for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal government. Specialized experience is experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. Examples of qualifying experience include experience: identifying, analyzing, and coordinating the integration of data into reports and presentations; providing advice to numerous stakeholders regarding administrative functions such as HR, Payroll, Timekeeping; coordinating services between stakeholders in ensuring cross-functional support activities and initiatives are carried out and conducting analytical studies of processes, operations, and/or services to evaluate program effectiveness and/or to recommend improvements to processes and systems.
OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in any field of study.
OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a doctoral degree in any field of study.
OR LL.M., if related.
OR A combination of graduate education and experience equivalent to that described above.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-12 Level: To be eligible for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level in the Federal Government. Specialized experience is experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. To be qualifying for this position, your experience must be sufficient to demonstrate knowledge of and/or the ability to: Identify, analyze, and coordinate the integration of data into reports and presentations; Provide advice to numerous stakeholders regarding administrative functions such as HR, Payroll, and/or Timekeeping; Coordinate services between stakeholders in ensuring cross-functional support activities and initiatives are carried out and conducting analytical studies of processes, operations, and/or services to evaluate program effectiveness and/or to recommend improvements to processes and systems and representing the organization on task teams to improve administrative procedures.
