You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST within NAVSAFECOM.
Duties
You will oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the Data Analysis efforts of the Naval Safety Command.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
You will interview candidates for positions in the unit; recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions
You will hear and resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager
You will find and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building, or improve business practices.
You will build partnerships and coalitions to leverage resources, encourage teamwork, and facilitate workplace improvement.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate:
1) Understanding of the overall mission, structure, organization, operating concepts, functions, major issues, goals, objectives, lines of effort, and administrative operations of the Naval Safety Command, the Naval Forces, the Joint Staff, and Combatant Commands.
2) Evaluating processes and systems, identifying constraints, restraints, and conflicts, and directing evaluation of courses of action for process improvement.
3) Planning, designing and directing division projects, and carrying out programs, projects, studies, or other work.
4) Reviewing work for accuracy, timeliness, and mission accomplishment, and providing technical oversight.
