Duties

As a PROGRAM MANAGER (DATA & ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) at the GS-0340-13/14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the OCDAO lead for digital (data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI)) governance, participating in governance boards and shaping digital-related policies, initiatives, and decisions. Develops, implements, manages, and executes digital policies, processes, and procedures. Leads cross-agency and interagency meetings for the advancement and adoption of data, analytics, and AI initiatives. Develops and prepare reports, point papers, programmatic statements and recommendations, and OCDAO strategies and plans; Implement plans to meet objectives. Coordinates and integrate OCDAO activities, including digital governance, data management, responsible AI, and digital literacy. Briefs stakeholders and seniors leaders on OCDAO projects and initiatives, including purpose, status, and impact. Manages and monitors contracts supporting CDAO activities as Contractor Officer Representative (COR).

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Experience serving as a program or project manager responsible for coordinating programs related to data, analytical, or AI-related activities. Experience applying critical thinking and analysis to programs and addresses critical shortfalls that may impact mission success. Experience evaluating plans, programs, and policies necessary to establish and maintain activities. Experience developing and delivering written and oral communications to customers and stakeholders at the senior-level. Experience performing multiple, varying, and complex assignments under minimal direction. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. OR You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Experience assisting with formulating projects and assessing program effectiveness. Experience assisting with serving as a project manager responsible for coordinating programs related to mission activities. Experience assisting with requirements using applicable Department of Defense policies and procedures. Experience assisting with preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence. Experience assisting with evaluating objectives and develop strategies and plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for the GS-13/GS-14 grade levels.
