This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Joint Force Headquarters DODIN- DKAAJH-JH74.
Duties
Serves as the first level supervisor for the Readiness Assessment and Lessons Learned Branch
Develops performance measures to support management and oversight of the JFHQ-DODIN readiness posture.
Conducts studies and analyses of JFHQ-DODIN and DoD initiatives and programs, including the development of performance measures to support understanding critical readiness gaps that impact efficient management and oversight of resources.
Interprets deliberate and ad-hoc plans, policies, and procedures and integration/interoperability strategies.
Leads the management the development, training and execution of Command Readiness Operations for the JFHQ-DODIN by preparing diverse elements for their appropriate organizational roles and functions.
Establishes working relationships and leads select teams of functional representatives from and throughout the JFHQ-DODIN to plan and execute missions.
Reviews specific mission essential functions for the DODIN, to include Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and Operations Plans (OPLANS).

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Developing measures of effectiveness and measures of performance to ensure comprehensive evaluation of operational capabilities; Conducting thorough strategic and operational effectiveness assessments as required for cyber events, identifying key areas for improvement; Providing critical input and assistance in post-action effectiveness assessments to identify lessons learned and areas for future enhancement AND Determining whether systems performed as expected during operations and providing valuable input into assessing overall operational effectiveness.
