You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Industrial Support Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will assist senior logistics Management Specialist in the development of Logistics support programs for Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), which includes support of new constructions.
You will perform various supply roles including expediter, government commercial purchase card holder and purchasing under micro-threshold.
You will prepare and maintain records, reconcile reports/data, research and reconcile major discrepancies related to material orders, receipt and invoices.
You will use a broad-based knowledge of theories and principes of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) sufficient to plan, implement, and manage a broad spectrum of logistics support.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a practical knowledge of well-established and commonly applied supply and integrated logistic support principles, concepts, policies, procedures, and program relationships to perform logistics management functions such as identification of requirements, requisitioning, credit card purchasing, budgetary planning, receipt and control, storage, inventory accountability, distribution and transportation functions. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Identifying the manpower, funds, materials, facilities, or services needed to provide program support; 2) Utilizing a knowledge of logistics management support, including planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical tasks needed to support a mission or program; 3) Using integrated systems to manage inventory, budgetary planning, and data maintenance; and 4) Creating written reports and presentations to support program goals and needs.

Education
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
