You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Industrial Support Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.

Duties

You will participate in all phases of integrated logistics support planning throughout the lifecycle of all assigned systems and associated equipment. You will develop and implement supportability execution plans in accordance with existing guidelines. You will review Contractor’s bid-prices to assure the government is not overcharged for equipment or parts. You will formulate administer, and track funding requirements for assigned projects, and supply support.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current FLO license.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Logistics Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating and integrating actions related to the development, execution, and oversight of supply support for assigned systems and equipment in order to view a ship's configuration and determine its viability. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of shipboard equipment and systems to include Hull, Mechanical, Electrical (HM&E) and electronic systems of Navy Ships; 2) Participating and understanding in all phases of integrated logistics support planning throughout the life-cycle of Shipbuilding; 3) Determining, negotiating and finalizing supply support matters with other logistics stakeholders for ship parts; and 4) Monitoring progress to ensure timely and quality delivery of supply support Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products; Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
