You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Logistics Support Center of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.

Duties

You will supervise government civilians and military personnel and direct, coordinate, or oversee work of subordinate(s) and supervisor(s). You will be responsible for the overall planning, supervising and coordinating functions of the Logistics Support Center (LSC). You will prioritize workload and assigns and monitors workflow throughout the division to ensure the accomplishment of branch functions. You will serve as the continuity Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the overall planning, directing and coordinating of logistical and husbanding support provide to the Fleet at the LSC. You will render decisions to various aspects of work such as procedures, applications and policy.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing logistics management specialist work to plan, coordinate, analyze, and evaluate the logistical actions required to provide supply and systems support, husbanding, Quality of Life program support and material processing functions for afloat units. I have experience prioritizing and assigning work to ensure metrics are met on a daily basis. Specialized experience mustinclude the following: 1. Utilize anextensive knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in logistical support, business and management knowledge, techniques and methods to serve as the logistics technicalspecialist and to direct, develop evaluate, coordinate, and plan programs to meet mission requirements; 2. Execute supervisory and managerial authority to include the planning and assigning of work to be accomplished by subordinate employees, establishing short and long terms goals, and managing attendance, awards, and discipline; 3. Experience leading groups, strategize how to best meet program requirements and outcomes, and provide leadership and guidance to improve the quality of the organizations functions and tasks in a logistics support operation; 4. Utilize a knowledge of a wide range ofconcepts, principles and practices of afloat Naval and DLA supply systems, including their interrelationships between the two systems..
