About the Position: This position is located at The Army Training Support Center, Fort Eustis, VA.

Duties

As a Supervisory Training Support Officer, you will perform duties to include, but not limited to the following. Applying both technical and administrative expertise to provide evaluation and recommendations on the full range of training support products and services. Serves as Director, Training Support Analysis and Integration Directorate (TSAID), leading the assessment of training support products and services. Represents the command at high level conferences and meetings with representatives of HQDA, TRADOC, other MACOM, other services, academia, industry and gubernatorial officials. Performs internal personnel management functions. Coordination and integration of the Army's Training Support Investment Strategy and the integration of all training support processes, products, services, and technology.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Business Travel/TDY 15-20% of the time.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Education. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Education, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described in A above. NOTE: Transcripts are required at the time of application. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning, directing, and coordinating all assigned missions and functions associated with the planning, development, fielding, and maintenance of training support products and services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityEducation / Training Program AdministrationManaging Human ResourcesPartneringTraining and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14). *All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
