About the Position: Serves as Headquarters Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7 Director, G-37 Training Integration.

Duties

Leads an Army Command (ACOM) level Directorate responsible for developing training strategies and policies, managing and validating requirements, and recommending resource priorities for training programs and processes. Leads emergent planning efforts to address complex issues impacting the Army institutional training. Integrates/coordinates TRADOC's efforts for Initial Entry Training (IET), Professional Military Training (PME), functional training, training, .....CON'T .....education and doctrine development, aviation training and standardization and other programs for the Total Army. Represents TRADOC at numerous Joint and Army collective training and lessons learned forums. Sets conditions for senior leader engagement and prepares TRADOC General Officers for participation in decision forums.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • SECRET CLEARANCE: This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret Security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE: Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (SCFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports).....CON'T

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by major study in Education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Instructional Design, Training and Development, Operations Management. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Instructional Design, Training and Development, Operations Management, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described in A above. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Developing training strategies and policies, managing and validating requirements, and recommending resource priorities for training programs and processes; AND 2) Provides planning, analysis, and coordination to respond to emergent training issues; such as Army and Joint elements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
