About the Position: This is a Senior Training Program Manager position located at the Army Training Support Center (ATSC), Office of the Commander, Operations Officer, Fort Eustis, VA.

Duties

As a Senior Training Program Manager, you will perform duties to include, but not limited to the following: Serves as Deputy to the Commander, U.S. Army Training Support Center (ATSC) who provides policy guidance and outlines command priorities. Assists in the conception, development and management of definitive plans and strategies for the internal and external management and integration of day-to-day and long-range projects. Serves as an advisor to the Commander on DA Civilian matters. Exercises supervisory responsibilities through subordinate supervisors who in turn guide and control the work of subordinate employees. Establishes performance standards and evaluates performance in meeting the standards.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance is required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 20% of the time.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Developing plans and policies to manage and accomplish the mission of a complex, diverse, geographically dispersed organization AND 2) Planning and implementing major projects, by applying programmatic decisions and conducting synchronization programs to accomplish the Organization's mission. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
