This position is located in U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Assistant Commandant for Mission Support (CG-6), C5I Service Center (C5ISC), Engineering Services Division-Tech (ESD), Technical Services Branch (TSB), Technical Data and Documentation Section (TDD) in Portsmouth, VA.
Duties
You will serve as the Logistics Management Specialist to provide equipment configuration management and sustainment support for the Engineering Services Division (ESD).
Requirements

- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Time-in-grade requirements must be met by closing date.
- A one year probationary period maybe required.
- This is not a Bargaining Unit Position; Suitable for Federal employment.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-11: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lowest grade level (GS-09 level) in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience must demonstrate:
• Executing logistics management processes based on established processes and standards including but not limited to preparing technical manuals, drafting technical orders, and performing logistics analysis for IT and electronic systems and products.• Familiar with system engineering life-cycle development, logistic functions, or components. • Participating in project development, facilitated inter- and intra-organizational communications, ensured the completion all milestone activities and successful delivery of system or products.• Executing information management or knowledge management procedures and organized technical data to ensure information integrity and compliance.
OR
3 Years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

• Developing logistics management processes including but not limited to technical manuals, technical orders, and logistics analysis for IT and electronic systems and products.• Designing system engineering life-cycle processes and managed logistic functions and components. • Overseeing project development to ensure the completion all milestone activities and successful delivery of system or products.• Developing processes or procedures for managing scientific and technical information to ensure information integrity and compliance.
There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
