You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Duties
You will identify ILS program planning and execution problems related to ships overhaul, modernization or repair in order to develop corrective actions plans.
You will participate in conducting/coordinating the evaluation of design, configuration and engineering changes for major components of new/extensively modified equipment systems.
You will perform research on complex systems that are located on ships undergoing conversion, modernization or repair.
You will participate in the collection, interpretation and development of provisioning technical data (PTD) assigned to major components of new and extensively modified equipment systems or commodity classes.
You will collect, procure and distribute Naval Ship’s systems/equipment configuration and logistics data.
You will research allowance parts lists (APLs) to determine the level of validation necessary and the required information to support underdeveloped APLs.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes performing configuration and logistical support work which requires applying a broad knowledge of logistics principles, concepts and methods that encompasses a wide range of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) functionality applicable to ships undergoing modernization, conversion, and/or repair. Experience performing analytical and investigative assignments in support of the assessment and validation of shipboard equipment and systems which contributes to accurate configuration information and the correct identification of logistics support elements is required. Experience performing technical investigations, research and analysis to determine baseline configuration and Allowance Parts Lists (APL) for shipboard equipment and systems. Specialized experience must include some or all of the following: 1) Identify ILS program planning and execution problems related to ships overhaul, modernization or repair in order to develop corrective actions plans; 2) Participate in conducting/coordinating the evaluation of design, configuration and engineering changes for major components of new/extensively modified equipment systems; 3)Perform research on complex systems that are located on ships undergoing conversion, modernization or repair; 4)Research allowance parts lists (APLs) to determine the level of validation necessary and the required information to support underdeveloped APLs; 5) Participate in the collection, interpretation and development of provisioning technical data (PTD) assigned to major components of new and extensively modified equipment systems or commodity classes; 6) Experience collecting, procuring and distributing Naval Ship's systems/equipment configuration and logistics data.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
