This position is located in Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Operational Logistics Command, LOG-44 -- Mission Essential Personal Equipment Product Line (MEPE PL), Portsmouth, VA.

Duties

This position is located in the Operational Logistics Command, LOG-44 (MEPE PL)Portsmouth, VA. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the lead for equipment configuration management and sustainment support for CG MEPE PL.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • The position requires a valid state driver's license.

Qualifications

For GS-11- Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level in the Federal service.  Examples of specialized experience includes:  coordinating with inventory managers for release of substitutes and to discuss resolution.   OR you may qualify with: 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR a combination of experience and education.  Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.  If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
