About the Position: This Supervisory Acquisition Analyst position is located at U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center, Command Staff, S-8 with duty location of Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Duties
Serve as Supervisory Acquisition Analyst providing high-level technical advice and management advisory services on all aspects of contract administration for a wide variety of research and development programs
Provide technical advice in contract administration in programs such as include specialized services, e.g. fiscal close out of contracts.
Outlines policies, program requirements, objectives, and resource limitations.
Serves as advisor to program officials in procurement planning meetings
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is subject to applicant testing and random drug testing in accordance with DA guidelines.
- This position is subject to a Temporary Duty or business travel requirement of 20% or less of the time.
- A one-year trial/ probationary period may be required.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Administering and recommending types of contracts, contracting organizations, and contract provisions; AND 2) Preparing analyses for proposed contracts, contract reporting, presenting conclusions, and/or making recommendations for contract revision; AND 3) Reviewing contracts or work directives to determine schedules of items and/or services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
