About the Position: Announcement will be used to fill a Lead Procurement Coordinator, NH-1101-04, position at the JPEO-CBRND Headquarters. Selectee will be assigned to the Chief Contracting Office. The NH-04 pay band encompasses grades 14 and 15 under the General Schedule (GS) system. This position is subject to a salary control point established in the JPEO-CBRND Acquisition Demo Business Rules. This control point limits salary to a max of $181,216 (GS-14, step 10).
Duties
Serves as the Lead Procurement Coordinator at the JPEO-CBRND Headquarters in support of the Chief Contracting Officer (CCO).
Formulates new methods and strategies for improving contract management functions across the organization by streamlining processes to ensure stakeholder satisfaction at an economical cost.
Formulates plans and procedures to develop procurement, workload, and staffing requirements that justify command contracting resources to carry out the organization’s procurement programs and activities.
Performs the full range of team leader duties working with a team engaged in acquisition programs and is responsible to the supervisor for ensuring that the work assignments are effectively and efficiently carried out by the team.
Requirements

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Professional in the Acquisition Career Field Contracting within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
- Business travel required up to 15% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
Qualifications

Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties which includes: (1) Developing contracting strategies that address all aspects of the DoD acquisition process; (2) Advising senior government officials on the technical aspects of contract management, contract funding, and procurement; and (3) Applying procurement and contracting principles in accordance with Federal, DoD and Department of Army policies to formulate and establish new and improved business procedures and techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).
