Duties
Planning and executing highly complex and difficult inspection assignments, which address administration and control problems.
Document findings that adversely impact financial management, mission accomplishments, or the integrity of the agency's operations.
Tracks and follow-up on corrective actions in response to inspection findings and recommendations.
Write inspection reports that are clearly organized and well supported with evidence and analysis.
Use familiarity of contracts and procurement and acquisition project that allows employee to serve as a subject matter expert in the conduct of inspections, audits, or investigations.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-12within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as experience managing all (researching, designing, conducting, and analyzing) aspects of evaluations in order to detect inefficiencies, ineffectiveness, and identify areas for improvement within an organization; and experience preparing and presenting evaluation analysis and findings to senior-level management.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
