About the Position: The Program Executive Office, Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS) is responsible for providing world-class affordable, relevant and sustainable ground combat vehicles to Joint War fighters. With a focus on developing current and future systems, PEO GCS is leading the production and management of all combat vehicles for the Army.
Duties
Direct the establishment, implementation and dissemination of policies, plans, and procedures necessary to maintain security integrity over all security related matters in support of the UA/PEO.
Assess and provide strategic direction for resolution of mission critical problems, policies, and procedures.
Develop, implement, manage and monitor policies, instructions, procedures, control systems and methods to prevent the compromise or loss of classified defense information or material.
Interpret, evaluate, develop, and implement policy direction for application on the UA/PEO program and conduct oversight reviews on the effectiveness of lower echelon program and practices.
Review/Analyze Intelligence and Counterintelligence threat assessments to develop countermeasure policy for the UA/PEO Program.
Conduct surveys of industrial facilities to determine the organization eligibility to work with and story classified and sensitive information.
Maintain knowledge of a wide range of non-security fields to support the operation of the UA/PEO Security Office (such as: manpower, budget, contracting, etc.).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires regular and random Drug Testing.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 15% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment

Specialized Experience:
In order to qualify for this position, an applicant's resume must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Interpret security policies and regulations for developing and implementing security programs necessary to maintain security related matters; 2) Perform qualitative and quantitative studies and develop strategies for enhancing the efficiencies and effectiveness of Security Programs and Technology Protection.; 3) Coordinate security requirements and Program Protection Plans for multiple security programs, such as Collateral, SCI, and SAP within established thresholds; 4) Develop policies and procedures to support foreign disclosure and technology security programs; and 5) Analyze Intelligence and Counterintelligence threat assessment to develop countermeasure policy.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).
Education
