You will serve as a ACQUISITION PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the ACQUISITION & PROCUREMENT DIVISION OF THE MRO LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will serve as the Acquisition Program Specialist for the Acquisition and Procurement Division, responsible for acquisition planning and organizing, and leading tasks and projects for the entire acquisition life cycle.
You will participate in the planning, directing, controlling, and administering of assigned acquisition program elements/ resources in connection with assigned areas.
You will draft program briefs, point papers, and talking points for flag level officer discussions and meetings, and develop and review source selection plans and business cases that support acquisition decisions.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Assigning, coordinating, analyzing, researching, performing, and executing procurement actions for military and other government customers, ensuring all applicable laws, regulations and local procedures are followed 2) Independently identifying, evaluating, developing and implementing creative solutions to eliminate depot production obstacles to achieve production objectives within a timely manner 3) Providing technical oversight for developmental acquisition specialists, acting as a mentor to monitor overall progress and ensure organizational and acquisition training, efficiency and accuracy goals are met 4) Coordinating and analyzing data from numerous sources to develop detailed reports, metrics, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration of each project, while keeping leadership informed especially on high visibility or controversial matters 5) Utilizing a wide variety of computer based systems and programs, namely Microsoft Excel, in order to effectively gather, analyze and organize data for the purpose of monitoring acquisition program/contract execution, presenting conclusions to internal management and command stakeholders as needed.
