You will serve as a NAVAL X TECH BRIDGE DIRECTOR in the CENTERALIZED COORDINATION DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will engage with academia and industry related to improving industrial and fleet capabilities through the implementation and development of new technologies.
You will engage with PIA partner(s) and ORTA focused on tech transfer activities.
You will oversee management and utilization of off-site Tech Bridge facility.
You will brief Senior Leadership within FRC-E and NavalX (including fellow tech bridge directors) on the status of the Eastern North Carolina TB ecosystem.
You will seek funding on an annual basis to manage a portfolio of efforts, establish POAMs, and see efforts through completion.
You will partner with the Advanced Technology and Innovation (ATI) Team on technology related initiatives.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field N Level 2. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and exceptional skills in planning, organizing, scheduling, and problem definition; 2) Ability to make decisions and the capability to work under pressure; 3) Ability to understand program office, FST/Fleet, and/or MRO challenges and develop methods and approaches to solve the issues; 4) Plan, forecast and schedule methods and standards within the MRO environment while demonstrating adaptability, flexibility, and application of innovative techniques to mitigate resource constraints; 5) Recommend solutions for workload problems, through expert communication efforts, to meet workload requirements is a crucial responsibility of this position; 6) Coordinate the work of others and integrate several functions into an effective program.
