About the Position: This position is located in US ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS DCS, G-4 PLANS, READINESS AND OPERATIONS DIVISION FORT LIBERTY, NC

Duties

Represent USASOC G4, as the senior representative on regular basis with Department of the Army G4, DA-G4, AMC, DLA, TSOC, GCC, Joint Staff, FORSCOM, and TRANSCOM. Lead working groups to assist Component Subordinate Commands (CSC) and Component Subordinate Units (CSU) in the development of their requirements and/or logistics estimates. Serves as a member of, or participates in, or conducts boards, councils and working groups to represents the MACOM in the area of logistics transformation and new equipment or systems fielding impacting on sustainment and logistics support. Examine Army doctrine and force structure documents and performs the analysis required to ensure sustainment of Army special operations forces.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random drug testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% or less of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes1) Developing short- and long-range logistics supply plans and/or programs that significantly affect a Special Operations military command. 2) Assessing supply and service readiness of supported commands to determine their capabilities. 3) Preparing reports concerning logistics management supply planning and analysis. 4) Developing policy and program guidance and/or procedures for all aspects of logistics operations to include contingency plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
