About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command Mission Support Command FOIA/IRR Fort Belvoir in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Duties
Serve as the Senior Reviewer and Records Management and Information Specialist within the US Army Investigative Records Repository (USAIRR).
Manage policies and procedures for the overall records management of national security intelligence, counterintelligence, operational, and personnel security-related information to prevent the compromise of classified defense information or material.
Serve as content Management subject matter expert who provides assistance and technical advice to the Section Chief of records management applications.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a single-scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Performs occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel 25% or less of the time.
