About the Position: You will work under general supervision of a Division Chief who assigns work in terms of objectives, priorities, and deadlines, and provides instructions on new policies and procedures; relies on the incumbent to independently plan, coordinate, and follow through to resolve most conflicts and to accomplish overall objectives; and reviews work through efficiency of operations, conformance to objectives, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

As a Training Technician, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: You will perform a variety of support and analysis functions that require coordination with headquarters staff sections and activities, higher headquarters and other Army agencies. Responds to customer inquiries for Army-wide training support, products and services through computer programs and telephonically. Identify systemic problems with courses, delivery platforms and software. Serves as the training technician for the daily requirements for the reproduction and distribution of courseware, doctrinal and training products. Assists senior action officers in planning, development and execution of distribution learning program and staff and faculty education and training courses. Tracks development status, compiles reports, and maintains databases that include technical reports, schedules, and student certification.

NOTE: You must submit copies of ALL your transcripts. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. NOTE: You must submit copies of all your transcripts. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). NOTE: Applicants must meet all Time-in-Grade requirements and experience requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Current employees applying under VEOA are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee.
