About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a primary integrator and coordinator for individual training for several assigned service schools performing analysis and ensuring conformity and uniformity of all systems and doctrine.

Duties

This list is not all-inclusive: Receive Training Requirements Analysis System (TRAS) documents submitted by US Army Service Schools to assist in the resolution of conflicts between activities. Provide appropriate resources to support training to the service school and manage changes affecting these resources. Review TRAS documents for conformity to technical and grammatical standards, including format, and tracking documents during processing. Identify inconsistencies within the applicable directives and guidelines to ensure smooth transition or implementation of changes necessary. Ensure available courses are correlated by appropriate branch codes, MOS, AOC, SI, ASI, SQI, and other functional categories IAW regulations. Represent assigned services schools and HQ, TRADOC, during the Structure Manning Decision Review (SMDR). Review comments from various organizations/staff offices, resolves conflicting views, and prepares written recommendations to supervisor advising appropriate actions to be taken. Serve as advisor and subject matter expert to service schools regarding the adequacy and efficiency of the TRAS submissions and date entered into the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) database.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid T3 (Secret) security investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work such as 1) developing or managing Army institutional training requirements in an Army training organization, HQDA, HQ TRADOC, HQ HRC or a training institution; 2) conducting detailed analysis associated with training management and training execution; and 3) using and analyzing information in from a database such as the Army Training Requirements and Resource System (ATRRS) for an training organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data Collection and AnalysisEducation and Training Program AdministrationInteragency CoordinationWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Please see the specific instructions regarding supporting documentation for Time in Grade requirements in the REQUIRED DOCUMENTS section, below. NOTE: Applicants must meet all Time-in-Grade requirements and experience requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Current Federal employees applying under VEOA eligibility are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee.
