This position of Inventory Management Trainee serves on the Asset Control team of Logistics in the Integrated Support Services directorate (ISS). The position description number for this position is 79860. This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position. Relocation expenses will not be authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.

Duties

Uses well-established and commonly applied supply methods to receive, review, and take action on routine requests from LOC service units and divisions for surplus equipment and furniture. Incumbent works closely with higher-level staff in performing duties that pertain to the maintenance and disposal of surplus property.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform inventory management.** Ability to communicate and interact collaboratively with others.** Ability to use computerized search tools, databases and functions. Ability to interpret and apply a variety of guidelines and/or regulations. Ability to plan and execute work. Ability to communicate in writing. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
