About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Training and Doctrine Command, Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7, Deputy G3 Training, USA Security Assistance Training Field Activity, Financial Management Division, Financial Systems Accounting & Pricing Branch, Fort Eustis, VA.

Duties

Formulates goals, procedures and work plans supporting the development and execution of an Agency level Audit and Audit Readiness program. Accountable for planning and overseeing the completion of all program and project management activities related to Audits and Audit. Provide guidance on unusual or involved audit/accounting problems, to include implementation of audit and accounting controls and report preparation. Perform extraction of data from automated reports to develop and maintain a variety of diversified special and recurring reports Perform continuing high-level analyses of the effectiveness, cost effectiveness, and other key parameters of the program’s progress and success.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Selectee must obtain Financial Management Level II certification within 24 months of entrance on duty.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing financial management policies, procedures, and processes to various financial management functions involving the formulation, justification and or execution of budgets and accounting support for organizations, programs, or projects. 2) Analyzing financial transaction discrepancies and recommending solutions to resolve issues. 3) Gathering and analyzing financial program data to verify accuracy and compliance w compliance with policies and procedures. 4) Utilizing various financial systems to initiate reports, perform research, analyze financial transactions or adjustments, or resolve financial data discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Audit ReportingFinancial Management AnalysisFundamentals & Operations of FinanceOral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
