About the Position: Serves under general administrative direction of the United States Army Center for Initial Military Training (USACIMT) Resource Management Director, Fort Eustis, VA

Duties

As a Resource Management Officer, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Supervises/management of financial and cost analysts, manpower determination and documentation functions, program out-year resources, acquisition, etc., and coordination of the TRADOC G8 resource programs. Serves as the Resource Management Officer, Headquarters, USACIMT utilizing knowledge in the areas of resource management to include programming/budget, management accounting/analysis, support agreements, competitive sourcing, etc. Provides expert technical advice on financial management matters. Analyzes financial data and provides advice and guidance on the economics of plans and programs and utilization of financial, manpower and material resources. Advocate strategic, enterprise approach for planning and executing services acquisitions, coordinating across commands, requiring activities seeking opportunities for efficiencies/cost saving and improving services tradecraft buying power techniques. Provide coordinated financial management, budget services, acquisition management, force structure, information management, and training of specific business office systems and processes. Provide review and analysis of all new/emerging requirements; provide data for submission for Total Army Analysis and POM input.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • Financial Management Certification (FMC-03) is required within 2 years of appointment.
  • May be required to complete a Supervisory probationary period, if not previously completed.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), up to 25% of the time.
  • This position may require both planned and unplanned overtime on an emergency basis.
  • This position is designated as Mission Essential

Direct a program that is designed to promote effective, efficient, economic, financial and force structure of the headquarters; provide financial management support consisting of budget services, acquisition analysis and program management. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget AdministrationFinancial ManagementLeadershipOral CommunicationWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
