About the Position: Works under the general direction of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8 (Resource Management) and the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8 (Resource Management), who assign missions and resources necessary to accomplish those missions.

Duties

Serves as the Director, Finance and Accounting Directorate principally responsible for managing, directing, leading, and supervising the Financial Management and implementation of Financial Systems across an Army Command. Plans, directs, and controls operations; applies policy and directives. Assists the U.S. Army Financial Management School by participating in staffing financial management issues related to training, doctrine, and combat development. Conducts financial and fiscal analyses of command, HQDA, and OSD instituted initiatives, processes, programs, and systems. Provides staff management of TRADOC's Government purchase card delinquencies and vendor pay issues by monitoring, collecting, and reporting TRADOC's monthly performance against the Army's standard. Assigns work, based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignment and the capabilities of employees. Evaluates supervisors and reviews evaluations made by subordinate supervisors.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) for business for up to 20% of the time.
  • Position requires Financial Level 3 Certification within 24 months.
